oh yeah. that makes no sense at all

on wednesday at work,
the majority of me and my co workers were in the back doing recieving (where the truck full of our stuff comes in and we take it all out and sort it) and of course the WTC bombings come into conversation.

Ignorant Co- worker: Today, if i was in an airplane and an arab looking person sat next to me I would leave that instant. No way in hell I'd ever sit next to one of those people.

Me: Uh i would. One of my best friends is from the middle east. I don't look at people like that. Not everyone from the middle east is a terriost..

IC: (blows off comment and starts another topic)
Don't you think its so wrong wot people are doing to those arabs living in america? Killing them, and throwing bricks and such at their worship places and houses? I would never do that.

I just shook my head in disbelief at her ignorance. Just because she isnt being violent with her predjudice dosent make it right. Her prejudice is silent and says volumes. You can fix buildings. But people hurt and never forget things like that.
