How the world will end


The earth is a hot red apple,
on the fingertips
of a tender Brazilian woman.
The taste of an old summer,
(the birthplace of her hunger)
has reemerged on the top layer of her tongue.

Her teeth sink in between the Americas.
She enjoys eating the United States the most,
it tastes like strawberry flavored candy.

She eats Europe and Asia slow
to savor their thick rich flavor.
The walls of her mouth become dark and wild
Causing her to bite down hard, cutting her tongue.

She can only eat half of Africa because
it burns the roof of her mouth.

Australia makes her grab her stomach and fall back,
her hair flying down like the wings of a descending bird.

Afterwards she grins,
wiping the earth's juices from her subtle chin.

She saves the seeds.
